The Cyclone ‘Titli’ on Friday slightly moved Northwestwards from India’s Odisha and adjoining coastal area and weakened into a deep depression over the same area.
It was centered at 6 am Friday (Near LAT 20.8 N, Long. 84.5 E) and is likely to move North Westwards further inland and weaken gradually, according to a met office bulletin.
Under the influence of the deep depression, steep pressure gradient persists over North Bay, deep convection is taking place over North Bay and coastal areas of Bangladesh.
Stormy wind is likely to affect the maritime ports, North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh.
All maritime ports of the country have been asked to keep hoisted local cautionary signal No 3 while fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay and deep sea have been asked to remain in shelter till further notice.
