After a two year hiatus, Shomi Kaiser, the immensely popular actress of the nineties, has confirmed her return to the small screen with a telefilm titled ‘Onumuti Parthona’.
Shomi Kaiser has been away from the small screen for more than two years and right when her fan following was thriving for her appearance on television, this glamorous actress announced her return.
Directed by Chayanika Chowdhury, the telefilm brings Shomi Kaiser and Mahfuz Ahmed together, ten years after they were last paired in a TV drama titled ‘Tomake Chhuye’, which was aired in 2005.
Anisur Rahman Milon and Mithila are also confirmed to work in the telefilm. Reportedly, the actors shoot in Nepal.
This is the first time Shomi has shared the same platform with Anisur Rahman Milon and as expected, Milon is on cloud 9.
Just a few days earlier, Milon had expressed his desire to work with Shomi Kaiser, one of her most favorite actresses, at a prize-giving ceremony.
“This is a dream come true, to work with such a versatile and brilliant actress,” said Milon, “I think Zahid Hassan, Mahfuz Ahmed find themselves very lucky that they starred opposite actresses like Shomi Kaiser.”
The telefilm, adapted from a foreign story and scripted by the director herself, will be aired on NTV during Eid-ul-Fitr.
