Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will contest from two constituencies in the scheduled eleventh parliamentary elections.
The party’s general secretary Obaidul Quader has collected two nomination forms on behalf of Sheikh Hasina from her political office on Friday morning.
The ruling Awami League has started to sell nomination forms to the candidates in 300 seats ahead of the general election.
Sheikh Hasina collected one nomination form for Gopalganj-3 (Tungipara-Kotalipara) seat. However, the other seat has not yet been announced.
Obaidul Kader handed over the form of Gopalganj-3 constituency to Sheikh Abdullah, religion affairs secretary of Awami League.
Meanwhile, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has collected a nomination form for Noakhali-5 constituency.
Inaugurating the form distribution program in Awami League president’s political office in Dhanmondi, Obaidul Quader said, “The party’s nomination board will hold a meeting with party president Sheikh Hasina in the chair at the party’s Bangabandhu Avenue central office around 3:30 pm on Sunday. That meeting will decide how long the nomination form will be distributed.”
