Demanding publication of the gazette on quota reform soon, students have brought out a procession on Dhaka University campus on Wednesday.
Nurul Haq Nur, joint convener of Bangladesh Sadharan Chhatra Odhikar Sangrakkhan Parishad, joined the rally.
Referring to Prime Minister’s remarks over the abolishment of quota, he said, “We did not want abolishment of quota system, we demanded reform. PM herself announced its abolishment at the parliament.”
He said the government can abolish all types of quota but if they want to reform it, they should follow the five-point demand placed by the students.
The rally started from the DU Central Library around 10:30am and went through different areas of the campus before ending the rally at Raju sculpture.
The government on Tuesday has published the circular of the 40th BCS examination while the reformists earlier demanded that the government must reform the quota before publishing any BCS circular.
