The doctors attending to ailing Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has announced that the veteran politician is now out of danger.
A press release, containing the news of Quader’s well being, was issued on Friday.
According to the release, Professor Dr Abu Nasar Rizvi, director of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) who is accompanying Quader in Singapore, disclosed the information.
“He will be moved to a cabin in three to four days,” said Dr Abu Nasar Rizvi. “All his parametres are well.”
Earlier on Wednesday, doctors at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore, conducted a successful bypass surgery on Quader.
Quader, also general secretary of the ruling Awami League (AL), was admitted to BSMMU on March 3 following breathing complications. Later, tests revealed three blockages in his coronary artery.
He was flown to Singapore on an air ambulance the next day for treatment at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
