Jatiya Party chairman HM Ershad on Sunday said that the people want change and freedom as they are living in an unpleasant situation.
He came up with the remarks while addressing at a public rally in Rangpur arranged by JP local unit.
“Incidents of rape and killing are taking place everywhere. There are nepotism and looting all over the country. There is no money in the banks. The executive is not paying any heed to anyone,” he alleged.
“We want people’s rule. We will have to establish good governance through abolishing bad rule. The opportunity has come this time,” said the JP boss.
Ershad also said AL would not come to power if the upcoming election was held in a free and fair manner.
Among others, JP Co-Chairman GM Quader, State Minister for LGRD Moshiur Rahman Ranga, JP Secretary General Ruhul Amin Hawladar, addressed the rally.
