Huge blow for Pakistani Cricketers and Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) as no Pakistani Cricketers will be able to play the entire season of this cash-rich domestic T-20 tournament of Bangladesh.
BPL will be started from 4th November and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has recently told all the centrally contracted players to participate in the forthcoming National T-20 Tournament which will commence from November 11.
Around 20 players from Pakistan have been contracted by 7 franchises of BPL, which includes 46 action packed matches, but now their participation in the tournament is in doubt.
The Pakistani Cricketers will only be allowed to participate in BPL after 17th and that is not confirmed too as West Indies might visit their country for a series after that.
This uncertainty around Pakistan players’ availability for the tournament has caused captain Sarfraz lose a lucrative contract. Reliable sources have confirmed that BPL franchise Khulna Titans have released Sarfraz from the contract as they didn’t have any backup wicket-keeper.
While Sarfraz will now talk with a new franchise according to his limited availability, other Pakistan cricketers are also facing the same situation. If series against West Indies takes place, then most of the Pakistan players are likely to miss most of the tournament matches.
However, legendary all-rounder, Shahid Afridi has no problem as he is the only Pakistani Cricketer available for the entire season of BPL.
