Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith has said that he had only guessed about the date of the 11th parliamentary polls and the date of polls-time government.
“I just make a guess about the dates. The election-time government has to be formed three months before the election,” said the minister while talking to reporters after a program at the Secretariat on Thursday.
He said many people were saying that the polls-time government will be formed late September or early October.
In his latest remarks, Muhith said, “This matter is completely under the prime minister’s jurisdiction and she will make the final decision.”
He said “I also guessed the election date. I think the polls may take place around that time,” adding that this matter is under the Election Commission’s jurisdiction and only they will announce the date.
