The chief whip of the opposition party Joynul Abedin Faruk has said that BNP wants to join the parliament; if they are assured of the amendment for an impartial care taker government in the constitution they will return to the parliament. He said that the present government is responsible for rending the parliament inactive for the last four years by not respecting the opposition party. BNP is ready to sit for a dialogue anywhere.
On Wednesday at a meeting held by Jubo JAGPA at Press Club the whip made this comment. This meeting was arranged to demand the unconditional release of the acting general secretary Mirza Fakrul Islam and the discharge of the editor of Amar Desh Mahmudur Rahman and Ruhul Kabir Rizvi from their enclosure.
The meeting was chaired by Insan Alam Akkas and JAGPA president Shafiul Alam Alam Pradhan, general secretary Khandakar Lutfar Rahman and others.
Joynul Abedin Faruk said that the government has laid path for us to take on the roads. Our leader Ilias Ali has gone missing in 2012 and is still missing; and in the beginning of this year our leader Rafuk Majumder was found dead.
He demanded immediate release of Mirza Fakrul and said that otherwise the people will force them to do so.
