India’s largest low-cost carrier IndiGo will start Dhaka-Kolkata round trip at the all-inclusive fare of Tk 5,031 everyday from the very beginning of the month August.
In a press release published on Tuesday, IndiGo chief strategy officer William Boutler said, “We are pleased to announce Dhaka as our 9th international destination effective August 2018.”
“Passengers would be able to buy tickets through its official website www.goindigo.in,” according to the release.
The IndiGo flight from Dhaka is scheduled at 7:10pm departure, with options for convenient connections to Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai, the release said.
Starting airfare of a Dhaka-Delhi-Dhaka via Kolkata (departure August 1, return August 4) showed Tk 11,700.
Besides the state run Biman Bangladesh, three other Bangladeshi carriers – US-Bangla, Regent and Novo Air – are operating flights to Kolkata alongside India’s Indian Airlines, Jet Airways and Spicejet.
