Shameem Ahsan, Chairman of Venture Capital and Private Equity Association of Bangladesh (VCPEAB) and Former BASIS President, has stated that Fenox will investment platform for the National Board of Revenue (NRB).
He said this at the two-day conference for Non-Residential Bangladeshi titled “Bangladesh Global Summit” which was held in capital city of Malaysia on last Saturday and Sunday in order to discuss the amenities of NRB.
For the first time the conference has been organized by the non-profit organization working with European migrant workers’ rights and many other issues called “All European Association of Bangladesh (AEAB).
The General Partner of Fenox Venture Capital Mr. Shameem Ahsan presented the keynote at “Branding Bangladesh” session in the conference which was held at Barjaya Time Square Hotel.
The Chairman of Venture Capital and Private Equity Association of Bangladesh (VCPEAB) and Former BASIS President Shameem Ahsan said, Bangladesh will be 23rd economy in the world by 2030.
According to the survey of IMF, Bangladesh is now the world’s second fastest growing economy. In the context of the implementation of Digital Bangladesh prosperity, our technology has created a new identity around the world. Digital Bangladesh now has become an example to the world.
Bangladesh is one of the destinations for outsourcing which has been disclosed in various surveys of different organizations already. The progress of e-commerce is also remarkable. 62 million people are already connected to the Internet. The world’s major companies are operating in Bangladesh.
Shameem Ahsan, Chairman of eGeneration Ltd. and BAGDOOM.com also added, we have been able to bring the world’s leading venture capital company like FENOX in Bangladesh. Companies like Brother, Nikkei, Infocom, Inotech has invested through Fenox in more than 85 countries worldwide.
Expatriates of Silicon Valley are also investing through Fenox.
The influential billionaires like Bill Gates is also investing in Bangladesh. But expatriates are not getting any opportunity to invest in the best overseas-commerce and information technology companies. Fenox Venture Capital is providing that platform of investment for expatriates.
The Bangladesh High Commissioner to Malaysia Mr. Shahidul Islam inaugurated the conference earlier on Saturday. The welcoming speech was given by AEBA president engineer Zainal Abedin and general secretary Kazi Enayetullah Inu.
Four seminars were held on various issues related to Bangladesh including Trade, agriculture, education, health, information technology, tourism, human resources and skill development. The expatriates highlighted a variety success story and obstacles in their respective fields.
