The BNP has revealed its list of nominees for the upcoming 11th National Election scheduled to be held on December 30.
BNP general secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir unveiled the list of 206 candidates at a press briefing in Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan office Friday afternoon.
BNP has left 94 constituencies to be discussed for distribution with its allies.
The decision to keep so many constituencies unassigned is also a result of several nomination aspirants facing criminal conviction.
Now, BNP will ask its multiple candidates – other than those nominated – to withdraw their candidacy.
December 9 is the deadline to withdraw nomination.
Meanwhile, Mirza Fakhrul also mentioned that the party will announce the names of the candidates from its allies in the 20-Party and Jatiya Oikya Front coalitions on Saturday.
Notably, all the allies of BNP are also using its paddy sheaf symbol this time around.
