Bangladesh Chhatra League will form Bangabandhu Cyber Brigade (BCB) to prevent spreading rumours through social media.
The BCL Secretary General Golam Rabbani said this initiative is being taken to bring around 40 lakh BCL leaders and activists under one online platform, reports bdnews24.
“We’ve already started work on it. Union and ward level leaders and activists will get the opportunity to work together through this unit,” Rabbani told the news outlet.
The Bangabandhu Cyber Brigade is going to be BCL’s central cyber unit. All those who hold up the ideology of Bangabandhu and Chhatra League will be added.
He said the Central Information Secretary will monitor all the information posted here. Besides, all the local units will be connected with the centre.
Talking about their area of activities, the BCL leader said they have to work on various issues ahead of the national elections. But preventing rumours will be the main part of their target.
He said the organisation will call the interested activists for CV through every unit and arrange training for them.
