Much-anticipated film of year 2016 ‘Musafir’ has finally got released nation-wide on Friday, April 22.
The film produced by Jobaer Alam and directed by Ashiqur Rahman boasts a cast of Arifin Shuvo, Marjan Jenifa in lead role while Misha Sawdagor, Tiger Robi and Shimul Khan are the main antagonists of the film. ‘Musafir’ is presented by ‘Perpetual Pictures’ and the content partner of this film is ‘Tiger Media’.
The film was supposed to get released on the occasion of the last Eid-ul Azha. However, due to unknown conditions, the release date of this film had been pushed back.
The story, dialogue and cinematography of the film have been done by director Ashikur Rahman himself. Produced by Jobaer Alam under the banner of Perpetual Pictures, the movie’s music has been directed by Naved, Pritom and Imran. Popular singers Tahsan, Konal, Imran and Belal have lent vocals to the melodious songs of this film.
The story revolves around a secret agent from Bangladesh Intelligence Agency SSB, Shuvo, and his mission to find another agent, Marjan, who went missing with many classified information that can put National security at risk. Shuvo’s character, a henchman of sorts, is put in a tight spot and forced to kidnap the agent (Jenifa) by a mafia lord.
Promotional first look of the film was released on 9 May 2015 and first teaser was released on 15 May. It is the second collaboration between director Ashiqur Rahman and actor Shuvo after initial success of 2014 film ‘Kistimaat’.
