Naila Nayem and Jacqueline Mithila are rising media personalities who are causing razzle-dazzle in the corporate world as well.
They entered the showbiz and in no time attained success, mainly because of their bold and exposing appearances. Naila Nayem’s bagging the position of the Brand Ambassador of ‘Food Panda’ and starring in item songs in hit dramas and movies go on to prove their demand and popularity.
So what did 90s’ actresses like Moyuri and Munmun, who used to belong to similar genre, did wrong? Munmun holds the same question in her mind.
A miffed Munmun says, “I feel somewhat frustrated and angry recalling how inferior ways media used to treat us back then. And then I look at today’s stars like Naila Nayem, Jacqueline and press coverage they get. The way they present themselves in a vulgar manner. Compared to them, we used to be quite decent.”
Munmun also said the kind of work the likes of Munmun-Moyuri did in the show business and Nailas do is what sets them apart.
“We were featured in big-budgeted, applauded films. We acted in numerous commercially successful films; however, we were always looked down upon. Nobody considered us as actresses or entertainers during that time.”
Notably, Munmun has recently been approached for an item song in upcoming film ‘Meghkonna’. The film has five different kinds of songs in it and one of them will be adorned by Munmun. Reportedly the item song will start filming in a few days in Nilgiri or Nilachol hills of Bandarban.
