Charity foundation Anjuman Mofidul Islam buried the bodies of three Sitakunda raid ‘militants’ as their family refused to take custody of them.
The three were buried at Chaitanya lane 22 Mahalla graveyard yesterday 4:00pm.
The three are Kamal Hossain, his wife Jubaida Yasmeen and their child.
Earlier, family members of militant couple, who were killed along with their child during a special drive at Premtala in Sitakunda upazila, refused to receive their bodies.
“They’ve humiliated us, so we won’t receive their bodies,” said Muzaffar Ahmed, father of slain militant Kamal Uddin, while talking to reporters at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) on Monday noon.
Earlier on March 16, four suspected militants, including the couple, and their six-year-old boy were killed during a special raid by joint forces on a militant hideout at Premtala in Sitakunda.
Two of the deceased are Kamal and his wife Jobaida hailing from Naikkhongchhari upazila of Bandarban district.
Muzaffar, Jobaida’s father Nurul Alam and her brother Ziaul Haque came to the CMCH morgue and identified the two bodies.
