The humanoid robot, Sophia,popular for her artificial intelligence, has reached Dhaka to ‘participate’ at the Digital World Exposition.
Sophia reached Bangladesh around Monday midnight, informed an official of Grey, the advertising platform that has brought the robot to be showcased in the digital expo.
Sophia, the world’s first artificially intelligent robot from Hanson Robotics, recently expressed her gratitude through a video message as the ICT Division of Bangladesh invited her to join this year’s Digital World expo.
Sophia, in the message said, “Hello Bangladesh, I’m Sophia – The world’s first artificially intelligent robot from Hanson Robotics. I’m excited to let you know that me and Dr David Hanson will participate in this year’s Digital World 2017 in Dhaka. I cannot wait to be a part of this great event. Thank you to ICT Division Bangladesh government and Islami Bank Bangladesh to create this opportunity for us. Hope to see you all there. Dhonnobaad.”
Sophia, the human like robot, will meet Bangladeshi people on the first day of Digital World exhibition on December 6 from 2:30 pm to 4 pm at Banganandhu International Conference Centre in the capital. The four-day expo will start on December 6 and end on December 9.
Sophia was given Saudi citizenship earlier this year, making her the first robot ever to get such a recognition.
