Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader rejected BNP’s demand for dialogue to solve the issue regarding the election-time government asking the party to follow the constitution.
“Why is a dialogue needed? I don’t see any necessity for the dialogue. Election will be held according to constitution,” Quader said responding to the BNP General Secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir’s call for holding a dialogue.
Quader was addressing a press conference at the party chief Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmondi office in Dhaka this afternoon.
Earlier in the day, Fakhrul said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina should take an initiative for holding dialogue with all stakeholders.
Regarding that, Quader said taking part in the election is BNP’s political rights instead of opportunity.
