La Liga, the top professional division of Spanish football league system, expressed profound sorrow at the tragic deaths in a US-Bangla plane crash in Kathmandu, Nepal on Monday.
A note with the picture of the flag of Bangladesh was posted on the official Facebook page of La Liga on Tuesday around 4.20 pm BDT.
The note said- “LaLiga’s thoughts are with all those affected by the air accident in Kathmandu on Monday.”
Within a few minutes of the post, people from different walks reacted on the post and made it a viral one in Bangladesh.
More than 24k people reacted on the post while 4200 others shared the post within the next three hours.
However, the post was actually made visible only for the fans of Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, a number of fans commented on the post to make it public to the people all over the world so that they can pay homage to the departed soul.
La Liga is one of the most popular football leagues in the world.
The league has a huge fan base in Bangladesh as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, two top-class footballers all over the world, play in this league.
At least 50 people, including 27 Bangladeshis, were killed in US-Bangla plane crash in Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday.
There were 71 people on board the plane. Among them 67 were passengers and four were Bangladeshi crew members.
The other passengers included 33 from Nepal, one from China and one from the Maldives.
The US Bangla plane took off from Dhaka at 12:52 pm Bangladesh Standard Time and crashed into a fence of the Tribhuvan International Airport at 2:18 pm Kathmandu time on Monday.
