Some students alongside their parents search frantically for question papers leaked outside exam centers just before JSC test is about to start.
There are some common scenes around all the board exam centers.
First, a little before an hour till the exam, some of the students would be scrolling through their mobile phones.
It has been evident that they’re looking at the question papers.
After some time, around 1 hour before the exam, everyone, including parents, would be a bit more excited as all of them received answers to the question paper as well.
Students, seeking anonymity have confirmed that they have received questions of English 2nd paper, ICT, Islam and Moral Education. The questions were sent through messenger, and they matched with the original question papers.
One student preferred having the multiple choice questions than the creative questions as they’re not useful one hour before exam.
After the exam, checking the original question papers would confirm that the leaked papers and the authentic ones are same.
One student informed that they were obtaining JSC questions from some coaching centers at Dhaka’s Shewraparha.
He revealed that the coaching supplied their seniors with SSC questions and passed with good grades. So, the JSC examinees are just following suit.
Some guardians were also affirmative when asked about those coaching centers providing questions to children.
Facebook messenger, WhatsApp and teachers of some coaching centers helped the students get the questions.
School authorities deny being involved in the question leak scandal. Some authorities stated that they open the container of question papers 15 minutes before the exam.
An assistant head master complained that students bring along mobile phones despite being warned time and again. The guards take them away before letting them in.
Tapan Kumar Sarker, examinations controller of Dhaka education board, was informed about the findings earlier.
“Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission have been asked to take steps. The intelligence agencies are also working. Let’s see what happens,” he said after hearing of the situation.
He wrote down the names of the coaching centers and asked for everyone’s cooperation to stop the crime.
The board official will visit various centers on Sunday, he added.
