Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu has claimed that BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and her son Tarique Rahman are not victims of political vengeance and rather, they are facing the consequences for their misdeeds.
“Convicted in people’s court long ago for Hawa Bhaban corruption, Khaleda and Tarique have now been proved corrupt in the court of law,” the minister said on Tuesday.
The Information Minister said this while addressing a programme organised by Bangladesh Betar at Jatiya Betar Bhaban auditorium marking the World Radio Day.
Inu also said the trial of the BNP chief and its senior vice-chairman Tarique has established justice against injustice and this is also a warning message for all the corrupt elements.
Director General of Bangladesh Betar Narayan Chandra Shil and Information Secretary Md Nasir Uddin Ahmed also spoke at the programme.
