Heavy rain has caused some parts of port city Chittagong to go under water.
The rain started early on Friday morning and continued till around 10:00 am leaving day to day life of the city dwellers in disarray.
According to the local Met Office, 32 millimeter rainfall was recorded in two hours from 7:30am to 9:30am.
It has been reported that some of the low lying areas of the city including Agrabad, Chakbazar, Halishohor, Muradpur and Sholosohor has gone under knee-deep water.
Most people opted to stay in their residents as the day is the weekly holiday but the people who had no option but to go out were seen crossing the roads by rickshaw or wading through the knee-deep water in the city.
