Departing Afghan Ambassador to Bangladesh Abdul Rahim Oraz made a farewell call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban at Dhaka on Monday afternoon.
The envoy expressed gratitude to the President during the meeting for extending cooperation to him in discharging his duties in Bangladesh, President’s Press Secretary Md Joynal Abedin told reporters.
President Hamid said Bangladesh prioritizes enhancing its relations with brotherly countries like Afghanistan.
He also expressed that Afghanistan is a Muslim brotherly country of Bangladesh and the existing relations between the two countries are currently excellent.
The Afghan envoy was thanked by the President for discharging his duties successfully.
