Police, in collaboration with other law enforcing agencies, have cordoned off a suspected militant den in Jhenidah Sadar upazila.
Meanwhile, the law enforcers claim to have already recovered a large amount of arms and explosives from the suspected militant hideout.
Police claimed that they also recovered some suicide vests and pressure-cooker bombs from the den.
Mahidul Islam, deputy commissioner of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, said that a joint team of police, CTTC, RAB and SWAT started the raid at a house in Porahati village around 5:00pm suspecting a militant den.
