As a part of their protest programme against the conviction of party chief Khaleda Zia, BNP leaders and activists will hold human chains across the country on Monday,a sit-in on Tuesday and a hunger strike Thursday
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the announcement at a press conference held at the BNP central office in capital’s Nayapaltan on Saturday afternoon.
Leaders and activists of the party and it different front and associate bodies will hold a stage sit-in programme on Tuesday and observe hunger strike on Thursday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm to press home their demand.
Rizvi said the programmes will also be meant for immediate withdrawal of the case lodged against her.
From the human chains, the BNP supporters will demand unconditional release of Khaleda Zia, who is now in jail after being convicted in the Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case against her and five others including Tarique Rahman.
