Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members have rescued 13 Bangladeshi people, including a child, from Sadipur border under Benapole port police station while they were being trafficked to India on Thursday morning.
All the victims hail from different areas of Pirojpur and Bagerhat districts.
Lt Col Arifur Rahman, commanding officer of 49 Border Guard Bangladesh battalion, said a team of border guards conducted a drive in the area after getting a tip-off.
The law enforcers arrested three women, nine men and a child.
Sensing the presence of the BGB men, the human traffickers fled away.
Later BGB members handed them over over to Benapole Port Police Station.
A case was filed with the police station in this connection.
