With the aim to increase internet usage in the country and to expand local internet based services and products, the nationwide ‘Bangladesh Internet Week – 2015’ is set to kick off on September 5.
Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), Department of Communication and Information Technology of the Bangladesh government and Grameenphone have jointly taken initiatives of the week-long event. There will be different expos in Dhaka, Sylhet and Rajshahi along with programmes in 487 Upazilas throughout the week.
Leading e-commerce sites of the country, mobile app development companies, web portals, device companies and service centers will take part in the events.
To make the events held in the Upazilas successful, the organizers will conduct a workshop on ‘internet leadership’ in the capital’s Institution of Diploma Engineers auditorium on Sunday.
Internet week will start on September 5 and will go on till 11th of the month.
