At least 15 government buildings on hills of Rangamati are now exposed to the danger of collapsing after the landslides that have killed more than 100 people in the southeastern district.
Police sources have said Circuit House at Vedvedi, Bangladesh Betar’s station at Shimultali, and the passport office are most at risk.
Parts of the hills on which the buildings are situated have disappeared in the disaster pushing those structures to the edge.
The other buildings include state-run Bangladesh Television’s Rangamati sub-centre, DC Bungalow, LGED office, SP Bungalow, and Matsya Bhaban Bungalow.
The bases of three towers of the radio station have been damaged as well.
